What Is RRB NTPC?
RRB NTPC stands for Railway Recruitment Board Non-Technical Popular Categories. It includes non-technical railway posts notified at undergraduate and graduate levels.

Age Limit and Relaxation
Do not use age examples from an old cycle. Calculate age using the exact cutoff date in the current CEN. Relaxation may apply to eligible categories according to the notification and Government of India rules.

How to Set NTPC Post Preferences in Five Steps
- Filter by qualification: Use the separate Undergraduate/Graduate CEN. A 12th-pass qualification is not automatically valid for graduate-level posts.
- Read the post-wise skill stage: Shortlist roles after checking whether typing or CBAT is required; don’t assume both are compulsory for everyone.
- Check medical and vision requirements: Compare the exact notified medical category with your circumstances before locking preferences.
- Review pay level, location and work: Compare official post duties and preferences, not only headline pay or popular job titles.
- Validate the final application: Confirm the allowed RRB choice, educational details, category proof, photograph/signature and the submitted preference order against the current CEN.

- 12th-pass applicant who wants clerical work: Review the undergraduate notice first. If a typist post is available, check typing-test requirements in addition to CBT and medical rules.
- Graduate interested in Station Master: Check the current graduate notice for any aptitude test, medical/vision rules and the entire selection sequence; CBT scores alone may not complete selection.
- Graduate who prefers not to sit a typing test: Examine non-typist posts in the current notice, but do not assume they waive aptitude or medical requirements.
